Day 79... back to Preschool

We made it, up and out the door! Ernie was very excited about going back to Preschool, his bag was ready and he got himself dressed.

When we got there it was very different, normally it is so busy at drop off but we only saw one other family. Ernie went into his room with no problems and was happy to see the staff!
As me and Stan drove away, I felt really emotional. I have had Ernie home with me since 17th March, yes he's been bloody hard work and I should be grateful for the break but still felt guilty leaving him. I think Stan knew I was struggling behind my sunglasses so just gave me a look, as if to say it's ok.
Stan started a new way of school work today as the majority of staff have gone back into school. We started with maths, was going well until the screen went off when he was trying to answer some questions, the tears and screaming started. At one point he stormed upstairs and shouted he just wanted Ernie! I took a bit of time away from work and sat with Stan and finished his school work. We agreed he could have a 30 min break before doing the next bit of work. But his 30 mins turned into almost 3 hours of playing games and chatting to his friends! But he was happy!
Work was good, busy again. It was goo to be able to concentrate on what I was doing without Ernie asking for food every 2 minutes.
After I finished work we headed to see my friend to give her her birthday gifts. We chatted outside the house, it was so nice!
We headed to pick up Ernie, he was excited to see us! He was so proud to show us his medal he got for staying home!

We were all tired this evening and I had forgotten to get tea out the freezer so Matt headed to see how bad the McDonalds queue was - thankfully not too long!
Bedtime was easy tonight as Ernie was so tired, just hope I don't have to wake him in the morning!
Mondays positives:
Ernie enjoyed his first day back
Seeing my lovely friend
Completing Stan's school work
Stay safe xx
