Day 16/28

Well it's all been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster again hasn't it!
Started at the weekend, it was mum & dad's 40th wedding anniversary - something we should have all been celebrating together. It made me sad, so the tears started.
Sadly I've cried a bit more since then. This week just seems like we are up and down all the time. I try to avoid the news but you can't help see things on social media. One minute we are about to be saved by a vaccine, the next - Christmas could cost us another lockdown in January. This hit me the most, I would hate Ernie's birthday to be in lockdown, again more tears. Although Ernie probably couldn't careless, as long as he had cake and presents!
All that aside, we managed to head into the woods last weekend. The boys loved it, covered in mud and enjoyed being outside.
Ernie took matters into his own hands this week, he decided he couldn't wait for the barbers to be open, snuck a pair of scissors upstairs and cut his own hair. Thankfully the tuft is hidden by his fringe.
He does keep asking questions about coronavirus, today he asked if it was coronavirus when he was a baby or was it normal.
Stan is loving school again which is so nice to see, today he came home with another award for his work.
They are both very much looking forward to Christmas, they wrote their letters to Santa at the weekend. Ernie does tend to say to every advert 'I'm getting that', let's hope he doesn't remember!!
So we are heading into the 3rd weekend of lockdown 2, hopefully only 1 more to go. I guess the next stage is finding out what happens on 2nd, let's hope we don't have to wait too long for that info.
I hope everyone is keeping well x
