Back to school

So we finally have the news we wanted, kids are back on 8th but this news has turned things around in our house.
Stan does not want to go back.
We've had tears, tantrums and nightmares.
School have asked how they can help but of course he doesn't know.
I've put less pressure on home schooling but now that has caused an issue as he can see his outstanding work.
This morning I lost it as he wouldn't get dressed. Yes I know he's struggling but I am too.
How much do I let him get away with? Do I ignore the tantrums and screaming? Who bloody knows as we haven't done this before!!
I've felt quite positive the last few weeks, I've been into work which was just amazing! I got to see the lovely people I work with which just made everything better. I felt like my shoulders were finally relaxing for the first time in months. But now I am on edge constantly, worried I push Stan over the edge into another meltdown.
This has been the hardest year for everyone and we are so close to the end but seems to be feeling harder now. I feel broken when it comes to parenting.
But at last we have some lovely sunshine so we are going to let school work pile up even more and get outside. But then is that the right thing to do, who knows!
From now until 8th is going to be tough and I just want it over with now.
Ernie on the other hand couldn't give a monkeys! He is excited to go back to his second preschool but he's just loving life, eating every 5 mins and just keeps talking about all the things he's going to do when coronavirus is gone.
My boys could not be more different.
