Day 4/28

Here we are 4 days in and I have not cried yet!!!!!! This time round feels very different, we sort of know what to expect.

This time round is also very different as now we know people who have had covid, last time it felt very far away, it wasn't going to get us. But we have friends and family this time who have had it, thankfully they have/are recovering. It seems like it's everywhere now, school have only been back 4 days and we've had letters nearly every day about cases but thankfully they don't effect school directly due to timings etc.

I do wonder how much longer schools will be open for, ours has been amazing at preparing the kids in case of closures, they have taught them how to do their work online and are doing everything they can to keep them safe.

Tomorrow I go back to working from home, I was lucky to go back into the office in July and we've had the best time being back together! It's like you go in and forgot the madness of the world outside. Working from home should be easier though as I don't have the boys home.

We managed to get out the house today, went for a walk, good to be out. We haven't really done much else. Sundays are normally Stan's rugby and then off to mum and dads for roast dinner.

It's even been quite boring on the Ernie front, his latest trick is just not listening! It took 24hrs to get him to put some toys away. He has made us laugh though, he loves singing at the moment so sings about most things. He knows his birthday is after Christmas and talks about what he wants for his birthday, it's hard work trying to remember what he's asked for as he's very specific. Going to write his Christmas list soon and try to influence him a bit into wanting what I've already bought!

Here we are, 24 days to go - maybe we should buy advent calendars!!!

I know there is every chance it could go on longer but I cannot think that way otherwise there will be tears!
