Day 74... kids, shopping and social distancing don't mix

Yet again Ernie started our day, today it
was by having a go at me because Matt was at work. The boys headed downstairs and they were quiet so I stayed in bed, soon Ernie demanded my assistance 'mummy I have had a poo'.
Positive start to school work, lasted about 10 minutes as Stan didn't like the score he got on his spelling. The screaming and shouting went on for around an hour so I just ignored him and did my WordSearch.
I decided enough was enough and we headed to Asda. This was the first time
in over 10 weeks I have taken the boys into a shop. It was stressful! Ernie was in the trolley but Stan just kept wondering off, I forgot most the stuff we needed. I won't be doing that again in a hurry!

When we got home, we started to try school work again. Was going well until
we got to a question we weren't sure on so asked Nana for help. There it was - melt down number 2. He had every excuse under the sun as to why he couldn't do it, but after what felt like 72 hours - we finished the school work!!!
My sister and niece popped round to drop off Matt's birthday card, we sat in the garden - typical crap weather now we can see people and have to sit outside!! The kids loved seeing them, Stan thanked me when they left for letting them come over!
Matt arrived home with more duck eggs, me and the boys are excited for breakfast again! He also arrived home with some flowers that Stan had asked him to buy to say thank you for helping him with his school work. He is such a thoughtful boy!

Matt's mum and sister also visited with gifts for Matt's birthday tomorrow and bits for the boys. We have some cupcake kits which looks great fun! Tea time we all sat together, after last nights performance at tea time it was really nice! The boys loved their tea and say really well to eat it.
Before bath time I repainted Ernie's nails, this time he wanted pink - like Tracy at nursery!

Bath and bed time was good tonight, a lot calmer than last night!!
Thursday's positives:
- My flowers from Stan
- Yummy duck eggs
- Successful tea time
Stay safe xx
So thoughtful of Stan with the flowers x
