Day 71.... manic Monday

Early shift for me today, work started at 8 and did not stop! It was crazy, we have not had a day like this since lockdown. The calls were busy but where we would normally be together to support each other and keep each other going, we are all working apart making it harder. I look forward to the day when we can support each other properly again!
Back to school work for Stan, he managed to complete his maths on his own apart from 2 questions which I later did with him. But most of the time I was working the boys were on their tablets. They did download the same game so they could play at the same time, it was actually really nice to listen to them chatting away.

Ernie was very demanding today, constantly wanting food or drink, or just wanting to shout at me!
When I finished work, I attempted to help Stan with the rest of his school work. The meltdown started so I left it! He soon came round, we took it in turns reading and then he sat at my desk and enjoyed writing about a new character for his story.

We stayed indoors today, it was actually quite nice to have a break from the sun. Both of them have both really suffered again with their hayfever, so we are quite pleased the weather is going to be cooling down!
Ernie was so tired at tea time, as we ended up eating a bit late. I really need to make sure we have tea earlier so he is still in a decent mood! He was asleep within minutes though which was nice.
Monday's positives:
Survived work
School work done
Stan trying to calm Ernie down at tea time, took him into his den and chatted with him!
Stay safe xx
